ASSAM FIRE KILLS FAMILY TRAPPED IN RESIDENTIAL HOUSE

Fire accidents spare no one. The first week of June has been a deadly one as fire accidents across cities and states have claimed many lives. Malviya Nagar, Muzzafarpur hospital and the latest chilling news comes from Assam. In another cruel tragedy, a family of four, including two young children, lost their lives after a devastating fire broke out in the Jalukbari area of Guwahati in the early hours of Friday. The victims have been identified as Kuddus Ali, his wife Kajoli Begum, and their two children. The family, originally hailing from Assam’s Goalpara district, had been residing in a rented accommodation at 22 No. By-lane, Joymati Path in Jaymati Nagar.

The fire reportedly erupted between 2 am and 3 am and spread rapidly through the residential area. While several other tenants managed to escape in time, this one family got tragically trapped inside their room and could not escape their grisly fate. Teams from the Fire and Emergency Services, police, and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), along with National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) personnel, rushed to the spot and carried out rescue and relief operations. However, the intensity of the fire left little chance for survival.
