3 CASUALTIES CONFIRMED AS FIRE RAGES IN LUCKNOW COACHING CLASS BUILDING
At least three people were confirmed dead after a massive fire broke out at a commercial building in Lucknow on Monday (June 22) afternoon. The premises housed a coaching institute located in the Purnia area of Aliganj and was functioning from the upper floors of the commercial building. According to eyewitnesses, seven to eight students jumped from the building amid the blaze, while several others were feared trapped inside. The fire incident witnessed extensive firefighting and rescue operations. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak visited the fire spot to monitor the rescue and relief efforts, as per reports. Safety personnel used hammers to break the wall to gain entrance in the 3-storey building.
